The booklet is one of the traditional methods of packaging gold leaf and consists of inserting it between the pages of a small book, in transfer. Pure gold in loose leaf , available in different sizes and thicknesses according to the colour, can be applied with the mission or gouache gilding technique . Free gold leaf is particularly suitable for restoration and for use on worked surfaces . The transfer gold leaf , of different sizes based on the chosen tone, is placed on a tissue paper which facilitates and speeds up the grip and application in the gilding of flat surfaces. The leaf is only pressed onto the tissue paper without using any glue. Different degrees of pressing are possible depending on the processing to be performed. Furthermore, its use is always recommended for gilding done outdoors . The transfer leaf in pure gold is perfect for applications on smooth, flat or rounded surfaces such as works of art, domes, contemporary architecture, monuments, lettering and interior design and is packaged in booklets of 25 leaves each .
